In order to continuously promote the progress and innovation of our students in the field of science and technology innovation, on the afternoon of February 19, 2025, the Youth League Committee of Zhikong College launched the school-level defense of the 19th Challenge Cup College Students' extracurricular academic science and Technology Works Competition.

This defense invited Mr. Zhao Yanzhe, Director of the Mechanical Engineering Teaching and Research Department of Zhikong University, Mr. Wang Xin, director of the Engineering Foundation Teaching and Research Department, Mr. Xu Jie, Teacher of Automation Teaching and Research Department, Mr. Zhang Dongjian, teacher of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering Teaching and Research Department, Mr. Yu Jiajing, Secretary of the Youth League Committee, Mr. Zhang Yimeng, Deputy Secretary of the League Committee, Mr. Xu Zhongguo, and Mr. Sheng Jiyue, representative of the graduate counselor. The undergraduate counselor representatives Wang Jichao, Shang Feixiang and Liu Fan, the junior college counselor representatives Zhuang Lili, and the relevant members of the Youth League Committee and the Student Union served as judges.

The school-level defense was held in four classrooms at the same time. Each team used 8 minutes to introduce their participating projects in detail, including project background, project content, project advantages and future prospects, through PPT explanation, video presentation and results display. The defense students' explanation was clear and full of spirit, which fully demonstrated the professional quality and innovative thinking of our students.

In the process of defense, the judges carefully listened to the statements of each project, and gave detailed guidance and suggestions on the project ideas, technical innovation points, implementation feasibility, defense etiquette skills and PPT display. The students benefited a lot and had a deeper understanding of the evaluation points of the Challenge Cup events, which laid a solid foundation for the optimization of the subsequent projects.
